How To Post Comments

So... I'm hearing that folks aren't sure how to comment on posts.  Allow me to enlighten you, with some super-technical fancy schmancy drawrings.

Well, hello my name is Simon.  And I like to do drawrings.

I'm a fan of SNL.  Are ya with me?

Anyway.  At the bottom of every post, you'll see this.  Well, you won't see Annie, but you'll see everything below her.  The stuff in the grey box and the comment form below it.

**UPDATE** In the grey box, you'll see a link that says "0 Comments" (or another #).  Click on that link, and it will appear as it does below.  Carry on.

Looks familiar, right?  Let's take a closer look at how this thing works.

And let's fix that whole "0 Comments" thing.

So, here we are.  If you don't want to use an account, no worries.  Just write your comment, click on the dropdown button to the right of "Comment as", and  select Anonymous.  Then click on "Preview" if you want to, and you're the proofreading type like yours truly.  Or, get all reckless and go straight to "Post Comment."

Enjoy!  And let me know if you have any other questions about using or viewing the blog.

Use the comments to tell me what you like, what you want to see more of, and whatever your thoughts are about my thoughts.  Just keep it PG (ok, PG-13).

And if you like my blog, feel free to share it with your friends.  The more the merrier!

  1. Excellent! I always wondered...hence the e-mails after I had read something. I appreciate the tutorial. Also, I think it's worth adding that the Comment Box does not appear if you're just reading along from blog to blog...you have to click on a specific posting to see the comment box at the end of it. That's all I've got. Keep the stories coming...I love them! Oh, and Patrick's back to calling Helen "Helen" Thank GOD that was short lived! :) --Sarah (since I'm taking the easy way out and choosing "Anonymous")

  2. Thanks, Sarah. You should be able to post a comment from anywhere, but you'll need to click on the "Comments" link in the grey box. I updated the instructions, thanks for catching that!

  3. Having my family around me. I have 10 siblings and my husband has 12 so it makes for a noisy time but I love it!

I love reading your comments and hearing what you think, so please chime in. Keep it civil. It's how we roll here at Cabbage Ranch.
